Low Income Households

There is a very high number of extremely low income households (below 30% of the Area Median Income):

  • 17.5% of household are earning below $10,000
  • 31.6% of households are earning below $20,000*

Additionally, 53.6% of households are earning below $40,000, which might place many of them within the very low income category (below 50% of the Area Median Income), depending on household size.

* Note that $20,000 is lower than the 30% AMI income limits for all  but 1-person households that have an income limit of $18,250 (as published by the Office of Housing).
